“What’s in the name”?
is a common question people ask when they visit
The Lord Binning in Kelsall.
The question is how does a name influence the venue?
The name has a close link with Kelsall, as Lord Binning was the owner of the Manor in Kelsall back in 1800s.
To local people, the venue was previously known as The Morris Dancer, which closed April 2010, and was
so named because the landlord, back in the late 70s was a Morris dancer. Indeed, the local folk festival was centred around pub.
The Lord Binning Kelsall has culinary genius David Mooney and hospitality veteran Paul Newman at the
helm of this fabulous new Pub & Kitchen, which is a credit to Kelsall & Cheshire.
With over 50 year’s joint experience in the restaurant business, the owners want to bring something different
to the village and the local area. Lord Binning himself would surely have approved the new owner’s policy of sourcing from people they know and trust, offering great beer, food and fabulous surroundings
Locally made produce can be purchased onsite
Upstairs you will find a good sized function room with its own bar which can comfortably accommodate 60
people for private parties and up to 80 people for meetings, training days etc.
Conference facilities available include OHP, TV, video & flipchart.
Some people may not like the name, but like the owners say you are more likely to remember it, than that of an average pub.
